Inspired by bright, bold colours and odd combinations of subject matter, I strive to include an out-of-the-ordinary element in my work. People, animals, and houses are often depicted in my distinct, long-limbed style. Hands are a motif in my pieces. I work with hands because they bring me joy and, by adding them to my artwork so often, I have developed an easy way for me to draw them where they bring a lot of movement and looseness to my pieces. Using watercolour and paint markers, I work with bright, solid colours to add a cheerful feeling to my creepy creations. I create people with animals or objects for heads, extra limbs, eyes, or hands, and very long legs. I make art to evoke emotions within myself and others, aiming to create joy, discomfort, and interest with my pieces.

I wanted to explore the motions of hands on the piano that people do not see as a wave or interconnected whole, but detached notes. After much experimenting I realised the higher aperture was perfect for my composition idea of the piano as it would make the light seem as though it came from nowhere. I worked alongside my mother who played. The first image was of a mash up of many lively songs that purposely had a lot of jumps, chords, and octave changes as I wanted to capture as much movement as possible. A chromatic scale was captured with all the lights. This piece was beautifully reflected by the piano's fall board. The piece of chords made an interesting loopy effect.
